Board Race - Prompt List
Session 1 - 3D Design
Make a Monopoly game (just don't use this name, as it's trademarked) in which one or more pieces move around a square board. Players stand at the starting line. To advance, they must answer a quiz question. The faster they answer, the more squares they can move from 6 to 0. If they answer incorrectly, they move back one square.
Players on their phones or computers simultaneously make moves for a given turn, but the game waits until everyone has completed their move.
Visually, players see their own pawn, the board zoomed in at an angle, and other pawns. They can also zoom out to see the entire board.
The pawns, board, and objects on the board are drawn in 3D vectors. The game must be very attractive and there should be plenty of celebration. There are also special squares on the board at intervals:
- Move forward 3 squares
- Move back 3 squares
- Wait a turn
- Extra move
These special squares need to be represented with 3D objects.
In addition, there should be celebrations, explosions, and penalties in 3D animations. > If a player correctly answers 3 questions in a series, they get an extra move of one space. If they answer 5 questions in a series, they can nominate another player to move back 3 spaces.
The first player to complete the entire board wins.
The game must also be mobile-friendly.
