About Open Speckit

Open Speckit is an open repository of specifications for IT solutions - a place where specifications for agent-coded software are published, versioned, forked and improved. Software is increasingly written by AI coding agents, and the quality of the result depends almost entirely on the quality of the specification. We believe specifications deserve the same care, tooling and openness as source code.

What belongs here: complete, structured specifications a coding agent can implement - web apps, APIs, automations, agents, games, internal tools - as well as PRDs (Product Requirements Documents) for products anyone can pick up and build themselves. A good specification has a clear README, explicit cross-cutting rules (CONSTITUTION) and an ordered breakdown into steps or modules, with acceptance criteria.

What does not belong here: code dumps, marketing content, illegal or infringing material, personal data of third parties, and content you have no right to publish.

Quality expectations: write for an agent that knows nothing about your context. Prefer measurable acceptance criteria. Include screenshots or diagrams where they remove ambiguity. Declare your target stack.

Moderation: we may hide content that violates the terms. Takedown requests go through the contact form and are handled promptly.
